Cardiology consultation

The first step in checking your heart health: a detailed discussion, a physical examination and a clear assessment of what comes next.

We look at the whole person, not just a symptom

The cardiology consultation is the starting point for all further diagnostics. Dr. medic Stergios Chantzaras talks with you about your symptoms, previous illnesses, medication and lifestyle and then examines you - including listening to your heart and lungs and measuring your blood pressure.

Whether further tests such as an ECG or echocardiography are needed is decided during the consultation. We only recommend what is truly useful for your situation.

When is a consultation useful?

  • Pressure, tightness or pain in the chest
  • Palpitations, a racing heart or an irregular pulse
  • Shortness of breath or reduced fitness
  • Dizziness or brief loss of consciousness
  • High blood pressure
  • Swelling in the legs
  • Heart disease in the family
  • Follow-up of a known heart condition

In case of acute chest pain, shortness of breath or loss of consciousness, call the emergency number 112 immediately.

What happens at your appointment

Your visit begins with a conversation about your symptoms and the reason for attending. The doctor will ask focused questions and carry out a clinical examination. If further tests may be useful, their purpose and process will be explained first. You will then discuss the findings and next steps together.
